Introducing the ‘Gin Cave’ at The Boathouse
For many people, springtime is the season that brings regeneration to mind. In the autumn and winter months, thoughts of renewal are as common as an outdoor family picnic in mid-November! Still, here at The Boathouse we’ve never played by the rules. Whatever the weather, we’re constantly pushing to expand and improve, and because of this we’re very excited to give you a preview of our next project – The Boathouse ‘Gin Cave’ and Wine Shop!
Throughout October, our ground-floor cafe will undergo transformation into an outlet where customers can browse an extensive selection of wines and spirits, many of which will be locally produced. From November onwards, we will also be hosting regular gin tasting evenings. For £15 per person, customers can sample four of the finest locally-produced craft gins, all whilst being talked through the history and distillation process of each! Tasters will also get to try a variety of mixers with their gins, and botanical breakdowns of each gin will be provided to help demonstrate the different flavour combinations. You’ll be chasing down that mixology doctorate in no time!

If you’re looking to attend a tasting, the ‘Gin Cave’ will also be available for private hire (for parties of eight or above). Packages for private parties start at £20 per person, and more information can be found either on our website or by contacting a member of our team.
