We have two rooms for hire over looking the River Severn each with its own bar and outside River terrace our first floor has a capacity of 110 and our ground floor a capacity of 35, for larger events and weddings both floors can be included in your package. Party venues – Upton upon Severn

Looking for a venue to celebrate a special occasion, wedding or family get together?

Located next on the River Severn in the picturesque town of Upton Upon Severn the Boathouse is one of Worcestershire’s premier private party venues.

We have two rooms available for private hire both of which have their own bar. Our ground floor room seats 30 guests and is suitable for smaller more intimate parties who wish to dine in private, there is no hire charge for this room and it is available 7 nights a week. The hire of these rooms also includes use of our outdoor areas including river bank seating with an outside bar (seats 20) and use of our balcony seating area with views looking over the river and Malvern hills.

Our second room is our beautiful lounge and restaurant which seats up to 120 guests, we have various options for this room including round wedding style tables or longer banqueting tables. We can provide a three-course meal, buffet or canapé and champagne reception for this room. This room also has an outside balcony with views of the river and river bank.

We also have an in house DJ available for £120.

The charge for this room is £200 Friday – Sunday and free for midweek functions (for functions of 40 people of more)

The Boathouse is the Upton’s Premier restaurant and bar offering a relaxed atmosphere spread over two floors, whether visiting for a coffee, glass of wine, home made cake or sampling our delicious tapas. Both floors are open all day and evening throughout the summer as well as our beautiful outside seating areas by the river and up on our balcony over looking the river.

The café –

Our café is open Tuesday – Sunday 9am – 4 pm serving a selection of coffees and teas as well as a traditional breakfast and lunch menu. Try our famous flavoured lattes or rose petal tea! As well as a selection of baguette’s, salads and home made cakes. We also serve traditional afternoon tea with a sandwich selection and the days cakes available. Our tapas menu is also served daily and available until 3pm making the Boat House a perfect destination for a lunch time treat, family meal or relaxed coffee break. We also have outside seating available and balcony seating available with beautiful views overlooking the river.

Restaurant and wine bar –

Our upstairs restaurant is open Wednesday – Sunday from 6pm until late serving fresh, home made food with an extensive menu of traditional and Mediterranean Tapas dishes. We also have a lounge and bar area if you wish to visit for a drink with a range of Wines, beers and cocktails available until 1am. For larger parties we offer a three-course menu and buffet selection. Look out for our daily specials and home-made sweet selection.

‘Visited here for the first time this evening on the recommendation of a friend. As there was a local blues festival in town, we were concerned that we might not be able to eat, but this was not a problem as we were fairly early. It was a pleasant evening and we were able to sit outside on the balcony overlooking the river – superb!

The waitress was extremely helpful in our choice f menu and in the end we all chose the King Tapas menu, which was a continuous succession of very, very tasty dishes! There was no rush and the dishes were brought out with plenty of time in between to eat them at your leisure. Every time dishes were brought, we were told exactly what they were.

So, in a nutshell the food was excellent as was the service we received. The waiting staff were friendly but professional. Can’t wait to go back for a second visit!’

‘I took my wife here after reading the reviews as I wanted to treat her to something really special. Well, what can I say, it really hit the mark. Wonderful food and plenty of it, beautifully cooked, great service and attentive staff and a great view. To be fair I couldn’t fault it and it certainly earnt me some brownie points with the wife! Wished we lived more locally to make this an ‘every week’ visit. We only shared a dessert as we were so full after the tapas! Looking forward to booking in again on our next trip to the Malverns’

Hire with The Boathouse

 We have two rooms available for private hire both of which have their own bar. Our ground floor room seats 30 guests and is suitable for smaller more intimate parties who wish to dine in private, there is no hire charge for this room and it is available 7 nights a week. The hire of these rooms also includes use of our outdoor areas including river bank seating with an outside bar (seats 20) and use of our balcony seating area with views looking over the river and Malvern hills.

Our second room is our beautiful lounge and restaurant which seats up to 120 guests, we have various options for this room including round wedding style tables or longer banqueting tables. We can provide a three-course meal, buffet or canapé and champagne reception for this room. This room also has an outside balcony with views of the river and river bank.

The Boathouse offers a variety of packages for corporate events including room hire only, conference set up, buffets and afternoon tea as well as our famous tapas!

 Our canapé range is available for all of our private parties and Weddings, they are a great way to socialise and have your guests be pampered. All canapes are served by our waiting team and can be accompanied with a welcome cocktail or glass of champagne.

The Boathouse is the Upton’s Premier restaurant and bar offering a relaxed atmosphere spread over two floors, whether visiting for a coffee, glass of wine, home made cake or sampling our delicious tapas. Both floors are open all day and evening throughout the summer as well as our beautiful outside seating areas by the river and up on our balcony over looking the river.

The café –

Our café is open Tuesday – Sunday 9am – 4 pm serving a selection of coffees and teas as well as a traditional breakfast and lunch menu. Try our famous flavoured lattes or rose petal tea! As well as a selection of baguette’s, salads and home made cakes. We also serve traditional afternoon tea with a sandwich selection and the days cakes available. Our tapas menu is also served daily and available until 3pm making the Boat House a perfect destination for a lunch time treat, family meal or relaxed coffee break. We also have outside seating available and balcony seating available with beautiful views overlooking the river.

 

Restaurant and wine bar –

Our upstairs restaurant is open Wednesday – Sunday from 6pm until late serving fresh, home made food with an extensive menu of traditional and Mediterranean Tapas dishes. We also have a lounge and bar area if you wish to visit for a drink with a range of Wines, beers and cocktails available until 1am. For larger parties we offer a three-course menu and buffet selection. Look out for our daily specials and home-made sweet selection.

 

Celiac? no problem! 80% of our menu is gluten free, we do not use flour in any of our sauces and with prior notice any fried foods can be made with corn flour. We also always stock gluten free bread

‘From the moment we met Kyle we knew we’d found the perfect venue to celebrate our wedding. With 86 guests ranging in age from 2 years old to 90, tapas gave a great variety to suit every taste!
The attention to detail from management and staff was second to none and we were very fussy!!!! The whole evening went without the slightest hitch and nothing was left to chance!
I would recommend The Boat House as the perfect setting for any event. Everyone had a wonderful time.
